Near-Record Setting Heat Index at the Wapello County Fair
Updated: Feb 10
A near-record setting heat index made it a little uncomfortable to be outside last Friday but that didn’t stop my crew from putting on a spectacular show for the Wapello County Fair! The fans were loud and seeing the audience smiling throughout the show is the reason why we do this.
Congrats to Cody for winning the autographed ANSR motocross jersey signed by the entire crew! We upped the ante and had our motorcycle rider Gabriel Villegas put it on near the end of the show and performed a few backflips! Young Cody was so fired up during autographs, he loves KTM motorcycles especially #5 Ryan Dungey. We hope he remembers how great the night was for the rest of his life. I remember being a motocross fan at his age and my crew does our best to create life changing moments for these kids at our shows. I would say mission accomplished awarding Cody that special jersey!
Our VIP Facebook winner Lexi and her friends got an all access pass in the infield to see the show up close and also got to attend our preshow meeting in the tour bus. I joked with them how exciting it must be to experience a preshow meeting inside the tour bus full of 14 sweaty Big Air riders and crew members after setting up ramps in the blazing sun. I’m sure they appreciated the air conditioning because it was HOT! I like to have fun and keep things light so thank you Lexi for joining us and I hope you and your friends had a great time.
Wapello County Fair, you were great hosts and we were humbled by all your applause and compliments after the show. Small towns are my favorite towns. Eldon, IA reminded me of home and we enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of your fair. Thank you for a great night and we hope to see you again in the future!
